I captured this shot while snow shoeing at Carson Pass in 2006. Alas, when I went to find the tree the following year, I found it had not survived the winter.

Jenner Sunset

I captured this image in 2006 while shooting with a friend on Jenner Beach just north of Jenner, CA.

Rockville Hills

This shot was taken in Rockville Hills with Green Valley in the background. The sun was nearing the crest of the mountains beyond Green Valley, providing dramatic warm light and long shadows on the hillside.

The Diving Board

Taken in 2007 while backpacking from Glaceir Pt. to Nevada Falls in Yosemite. I had totally overlooked this shot until last week. What I like most is the contrast of the diving board against Half Dome's face.

Garrapata Sunset

Taken during a road trip to Big Sur in 2007. The sun was almost ready to set and the beach was on fire. Fortuitous flight of sea gulls came over just as I took the shot.

Stump Beach Cove Sunrise

I completely missed processing this image until last week. How could I have missed it - it's spectacular! Captured in 2008 while on a Sierra Club photo outing. Full transperancy, this was not the orignal sky.

Minuteman Beach

This is Minuteman Beach (on Vandenburg AFB) as viewed while hiking through the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes. I love how there is a path through the dunes down to the beach.

Cline River Canyon Galleria

This is the Cline River running through a section known as the Galleria. Think frozen waterfalls in winter. Shot this in 2011 on a workshop (note the phtographer in the background).

Quebrada de Cafayate

This is a shot taken in the Cafayate region of Argentina. It was our first stop of a two-week tour of the Argentinian Attacama.

Papohaku Beach Waves

This was taken in 2017 while on a photoshoot in Molokai. While shooting rocks and waves on the beach a large wave came in reaching my knees. I held my tripod in place as well as I could and started shooting as the wave was receding. I love the soft lines.

Kilauea Lava Boat Tour

As Kilauea was adding more land mass to the Big Island we took an early morning boat tour to watch (shoot) the action first hand. Turns out this wasn't a great idea as several people were injured during a tour shortly after this as a lava bomb exploded,
