Hakeakala Sunrise

On our way home from Molokai we had a one night layover in Maui, so what to do? Haleakala at sunrise, of course! I've been here 3 times and this is by far my favorite sunrise shot. Taken along the Sliding Sands Trail about 1/2 mile from the visitor center.

Established by Father Damien, this is Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Kaunakakai.

Halawa Beach Ruins

On the east end of Molokai near Halawa Beach is a small park. In the park we found some old ruins with vines and roots running through and around what was left of the structure. IPhone 7+ shot using the Lightroom CC camera in RAW mode.

Kalani's Gardens

After leaving Halawa Beach we stopped at an area known as Kalani's Garden's, a lust tropical garden area along the Halawa Stream. These are Ginger blossoms. Shot with an iPhone 7+ using the basic camera in portrait mode.

In an area of old run down buildings on Molokai's west side I noticed all these leaves and seedpods laying around and thought it would make an interesting composition. Shot with an iPhone 7+ and processed with Brushstrokes.
