Cedar Breaks Aspen

I found this to be a challenging composition because the color was mostly hidden behind bare-limbed aspen (which I love) mixed in with a few evergreens. The intent of my post-processing was to highlight the beauty of the bare trees with that amazing color in the background.

Strawberry Point Vista

While traveling east from the Cedar Breaks area we stopped at a view point looking south toward Strawberry Point.

Capitol Reef Vista

This was one of the many beautiful vistas we encountered while driving along Utah's scenic Hwy 12.

Arches NP Reflection

This was taken in Arches NP at the La Sal Mountains Viewpoint not long after rains passed through. The rock formation in the reflection doesn't have a name that I could find.

Double Arch

This is the lower of the two arches that make up Double Arch located in the Windows Section of Arches NP. My traveling companion kindly agreed to add some perspective.

Salt Valley

The area with the yellowish hue is known as Salt Valley and behind it is where the iconic Delicate Arch is located. It is actually in this shot located at the end of the red rock ridge on the horizon about two-thirds of the way over from the left (look for a dark U-shaped shadow).

Park Avenue

This was taken from the Park Avenue viewpoint late in the afternoon. I particularly liked the composition of light and shadow.

Devils Garden Juniper

I found this juniper back in Devils Garden near Double O Arch. I love the interesting shapes, textures, and colors these old gnarly trees have.

Private Arch

This is an arch you only get to see if you are hiking the primitive trail section of Devils Garden.

Utah's Colorado Riverway

This is a view of Parriott Mesa (R) taken from a spot along the edge of the Colorado River (popular recreational area east of Moab along Hwy 128).

Dinosaur Fin

Taken in Escalente Grand Staircase NM near Big Water UT. The mixture of colors and shapes in this desert region are just other-worldly.

Virgin River Falls

Last stop on our trip was in Zion NP where we spent the afternoon exploring the Temple of Sinewava river walk.
