Lake Powell Panorama
This view of Lake Powell was taken on our first evening in Page. It was shot frow a location known as Potato Hill.
Backlit Juniper Detail
While shooting at a location near Page known as Little Cut I noticed this gnarly old juniper growing nearby on a rocky ledge.
Little Cut Sunrise Vista
Interesting rocky formations with a beautiful red rock background viewed just as the sun is first rising.
Lower Antelope Canyon
A thin shaft of light is accented by dust and sand in the air.
Stunning combination of color, textures, and varying levels of light.
Horseshoe Bend
This is an area near Page where the Colorado River make a tight horseshoe shaped bend. From my shooting location it is 800' straight down!
Secret Canyon
Not as well known as Antelope, but equally beautiful, Secret Canyon yielded stunning views at each turn.
Tumbleweed perched on a ledge softly illuminated by reflected light coming through the slot overhead.

Stud Horse Formations
Interesting rock formations near Page in an area known as Stud Horse Point. It was great to see some interesting clouds on the horizon as well.
Desert Scenery
We stopped at this location during a long, bumpy ride to Alstrom Point in Grand Staircase-Escalante NM. As it was a rather flat mid-day scene I felt that could be best presented in a BW solorized rendition.
Another stop on our way to Alstrom Point, which by the way can be seen in the upper righhand corner.
Finally, Alstrom Point!!! Lots of interesting little coves to park in and camp or explore. Will have to do that one of these days.
Water Hole Scenery
An interesting area not far from Page that looks somewhat like "The Wave" but is much easier to reach and no permit is required!
