The famous Dead Vlei is a large salt pan with dead camel thorn trees, some 1000 years old. We shot these old trees from various angles as the sun set.
Our next photo stop was Walvis Bay, well known for it's large flamingo colonies. The broad stripe of pink and the bird's reflections in this scene were interesting.
Two lesser flamingoes approach from the left but the two greater flamingoes take no notice.
